IRA Newsletter Project: Effective Literacy Website #6

I went through an internet search and found Might Book (http://www.mightybook.com/) interesting so I decided to use the site for my literacy review number 6.
In the main menu of the site, you will find the newest stories and songs, games and puzzles, letters and sounds, art and music, etc. There are lot of things can be of found on the main menu. Then on the right side, under catalogs, you will find stories in labeled A-F, G-L, M-S, and T-Z. Along with this, it gives the ages ranging from 2-4, 4-6, 6-8, and 8-10. It also has different stories, games, poems, activities, and quizzes.
I really like the site because of how specific it is. On the stories, it has been labeled the ages that the stories are appropriate for. I also like that there are different kinds of genres because students will learn that there are different kinds of genres. The genre I like the most is the fable. I likes fables because in every story, it has a moral that would really put people into thinking as they read the story.
Another reason I like Mighty Book is that the stories are also told orally. They do not need to read all the stories but they can also listen to them. Many students are very attentive and they will learn best when they listen to the story. However, some students will prefer to read the story themselves to understand it better.
So this site is very good since it is not only oral story but also they can read the story by themselves.  These are some of the reasons why I like Mighty Books. I believe that the students will really like and enjoy when they use the site to help learn to read. For these reasons, I decided to use Mighty Books for my website review number 6.
