ReadWriteThink
The second website I will be reviewing or using is ReadWriteThink. The website url is (www.readwritethink.org).  It aims is mostly on promoting reading and writing frpm K-12. At ReadWriteThink Organization, their mission is to provide educators, parents, and afterschool professionals with access to the highest quality practices in reading and language arts instruction by offering the very best in free materials. Readwritethink has been partner with International Literacy Association, National Council of Teacher of English, and supported by funding from the Verizon Foundation. This is an effective website due to it promote a free literacy that would assist teachers to deliver their lessons in the classroom.
The home page contains an overview presentation of the site; a series of video demonstrations, each focusing on a different feature of the site or topic area; and session presentations that allow you to watch conference sessions at your convenience. At the same time, it has a ready to use modules in different grade levels from Kindergarten to 12th grade.  ReadWriteThink also provides classroom-tested, evidence-based lesson plans, printouts, and strategy guides for the Classroom Resource and Professional Development sections. They also provide resources for Parent & Afterschool section.
All content on ReadWriteThink is reviewed and updated by at least two literacy educators. Reviewers serve on a volunteer basis, use an Internet-based system to complete reviews, and can review different types of content, from lesson plans to booklists to out-of-school resources, depending on their areas of expertise. Most of the time, ReadWriteThink relies on experienced literacy educators to write and review all the content that appears on the site. Therefore, if you need lessons plans, activities, or other ideas you'd like for your class, this is the website to look for.
