READWRITETHINK

ReadWriteThink is another resourceful and helpful literature website that helps educators grow confident, capable readers and writers. This website (http://www.readwritethink.org) is composed of classroom resources, professional developments, parents and afterschool resources, and community stories. Each category provides meaningful and effective information and resources of what a teacher, parent, student, or any educator may need.
Reading and writing are the two main purpose of this website. This website allows you to search for lesson plans by grade level and key word. There are over 829 lesson plans available. Some other major highlights on this website are the classroom resources on reading and writing, the interactive and calendar activities, and printable resources by grade level.
The mission of this website is to provide educators, parents, and afterschool professionals with access to the highest quality practices in reading and language art instructions. It makes teaching easier for teachers by providing specific guidelines as well as lesson objectives of each activity. The content on Readwritethink website is created by a diverse group of educators who share a passion for literacy learning.
After exploring and navigating on this website, I find it more effective and very useful for me as a teacher. I will be revisiting this website to obtain resources for my students or just to get information on a lesson to teach. The activities on this website are created accordingly to the US curriculum, but I find them aligned and very appropriate for our students in the FSM too. ReadWriteThink is one of the best website.
